Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church welcomes, affirms and extends our love to all persons regardless of age, race, income, nationality, life experiences, gender identity or gender expression. All are welcome into our family.  You are invited to greet one another with signs of God’s peace.
Peace be with you.

ALL:  And also with you.

 PRAYER OF PREPARATION

**CALL TO WORSHIP                           enfleshed: Liturgy that Matters

In the stillness… In the quiet… In all that rests on our minds and hearts…

Our souls wait for you, O God.

In everything moving too quickly and too slowly… In our feelings of helplessness before all the obstacles that surround ua… As anxiety abounds and needs exceed

our capacities…

Our souls wait for you, O God.

Though we cannot yet perceive the way from here… We do not give up on each other. We do not give in to despair. We trust in the One who has companioned life and love through the troubles of every generation.

Our hope is this: through all things, God resides with us, within us, around us.

OPENING PRAYER
(spoken in unison)
enfleshed: Liturgy that Matters

God of the dead and God of the living, hold us close as we linger in these delicate days.       May we perceive with clarity all that you would have us glean from what surrounds us.  Where a collective lack of love and justice are failing us, embolden us to live differently – today. Let your Spirit come swiftly and transform us with hope. Amen

DEPARTING CHORUS
Come and Find the Quiet Center
(3rd verse)  TFWS  #2128

In the Spirit let us travel, open to each other’s pain
Let our loves and fears unravel, celebrate the space we gain.
There’s a place for deepest dreaming, there’s a time for hearts to care.
In the Spirit’s lively scheming there is always room to spare.

POSTLUDE                               Psalm of Glory  (Wells)                                       Phyllis Swift

As you leave today, remember you are taking the light of Christ into the world.

Make it shine!
