PRAYER OF PREPARATION

**CALL TO WORSHIP
enfleshed: Liturgy that Matters

Whether we shout in confidence, whisper in trust, or simply rest in the faithful proclamation of our neighbors, we join in the ancient praise that echoes across generations:

Hallelujah! The tomb is empty, and Love is alive.

Even when we look high and low for signs of hope but only find cause for sorrow, we do believe

Love is still with us!

Even when evil seems to have the upper hand, destroying life and hoarding resources, threatening all who will not bow before it, we do believe

Love lives in us!

Even when we are afraid, for ourselves, our communities, our world… or when life as we know it has been turned upside down, we do believe

Love remains!

In all things, through all things, Love will persist.

Hallelujah! Christ is risen. Christ is risen, indeed!

**OPENING PRAYER
(spoken in unison)

O God of all our days, during this time of uncertainty and physical distancing, we come this Easter morning with eager anticipation. We seek to know you, to see you, to touch you. Open our hearts, that we might experience you anew. Open our lives, that we may be faithful witnesses to your resurrection. May we, with shouts of joy, proclaim your steadfast, liberating love to all people, everywhere. Amen.
