**PASSING OF THE PEACE OF CHRIST

Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church welcomes and extends our love to all persons  regardless of age, race, income, nationality, life experiences, sexual orientation, or gender identity. All are welcome into our family.  You are invited to greet one another with signs of God’s peace.   Peace be with you.    ALL:  And also with you.

   **CALL TO WORSHIP
Rev. Eliza Buchakjian-Tweedy

What does the Lord require of you?

To do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God.

What does God command of us?

To love God with all our heart, and all our soul, and all our mind,

and all our strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.

God does not call us to ease or to comfort.

But to presence, and abundance, and grace in our struggle.

Let us worship the God who believes in us, and trusts in us, and abides with us.

Let us worship the God who will ask much of us,

but will be beside us every step of the way.

  **HYMN OF PRAISE
Amazing Grace
(vs. 3 & 4)                   UMH #378

**OPENING PRAYER

Lord of hope, when the dark clouds assail, you ask us to bear the light of your love and truth. When fears seem to immobilize us, you give us courage and strength to bear your witness. We thank you for your call to us. We praise you for your sustaining love for us. We honor you with our lives and our service to you; for it is in Christ’s Name, we offer this prayer. AMEN.

Sunday Worship 6/28/2020

Welcome and thank you for joining us! Today Rev. Kathy Brown will be preaching on a difficult text involving Abraham and Isaac and will be delivering a message of how sometimes we need to reevaluate the idea of "but we've ALWAYS done things this way". Please enjoy this worship offering. May the words and music that you experience during this service speak to you in a way that you need today.
