**PASSING OF THE PEACE OF CHRIST

Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church welcomes and extends our love to all persons regardless of age, race, income, nationality, life experiences, sexual orientation, or gender identity. All are welcome into our family.  You are invited to greet one another with signs of God’s peace.   Peace be with you.    ALL:  And also with you.

**CALL TO WORSHIP

As Abraham welcomed the strangers
     So God welcomes us.
God greets us with joy
and says, “rest here for awhile.”
God brings out water to wash our dusty feet.
God prepares a meal to nourish our weary spirits.
So let us receive the gracious hospitality of our God.
Let us rest in this holy place where there is shade and water, food and laughter.

   **HYMN OF PRAISE
O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
(vs, 1, 2, & 3)   UMH #57

**OPENING PRAYER

God of promise, you come offering your grace in unexpected ways. May we, like Sarah and Abraham before us, find you in the strangers we host at our tables. And, as you call us to continually dine with you, may we recognize the distinct joy of being in your presence through the extravagant love you give; through Christ our Lord.

 **GLORIA PATRI
UMH # 70

Glory be to the Father
and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost;
as it was in the
beginning,
is now and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.
Amen!
